Environmental Responsibility

Our commitment to the world

In Desdelsur, we work with nature and together with the community, assuming a responsible management of resources and protecting the environment, with the commitment to generate business in a sustainable way.

Based on an environmental impact and management Study, timely approved by the enforcement authority of the Province for deploying the company´s agribusiness project, several sustainability monitoring programs and biodiversity and natural resource development control programs have been implemented, with special focus on soil fertility.

– We prioritize the protection of the forest reserve, which is equivalent to almost half the total surface area.

– We evaluate and monitor the environment in order to set guidelines for the correction, mitigation, and prevention of future impacts.

– We take care of our neighboring communities with different programs of assistance.

– We keep an open communication with regulatory bodies and customers, among others.

“We have not inherited the land from our fathers, we have borrowed it from our children.”

“La tierra no es una herencia de nuestros padres, sino un préstamo de nuestros hijos”.

Social Responsibility

Commitment to the local community

Progress is built from the organization and with the local community. Good results are not an end in themselves, but a means of improving living conditions in our surroundings.

The key seems to be in harnessing comparative advantages, local resources, scalability, innovation, and the incorporation of technology in order to compete in the international market, and to foster community work and training.

In our workplace, we aim is to set up well-trained work teams focused on health and safety, personal protection, and technical training issues.

They are the best capital our organization has.

These are some of the actions we carry out:

Construction and maintenance of access roads to neighboring locations.

Improvement of educational facilities.

Financial assistance to meal centers.

Medical care for children, pregnant women, and elderly people.

Provision of an ambulance equipped for emergency response in neighboring communities.

Agreements of forest exploitation with neighboring native communities.

Cooperation agreements with groups of unemployed people for the development of small undertakings.

Provision of bean waste to small entrepreneurs (chicken/pig breeders, etc.)

Exchange of animals with small nearby livestock producers to improve herd racial quality and seed supply for forage planting.

Annual CSR Reports

RSE

We have sowed the seed of an agribusiness project because we deeply trust the huge productive potential of this area.

We have organized a complex and comprehensive undertaking because we believed in the organizational and professional capacity of our people.

We have been grown and consolidated our gains by seriously working on the strategic planning of our businesses in order to improve commercialization channels and create better income in the region, with greater investment, training, added value, and state-of-the-art technology.

However, good results cannot be achieved if progress is not felt where we are. No achievement is worthy of mention unless it ignites the magic spark of welfare around us.

And this road is made as you walk. There is not a destination point, there are only bends that sometimes turn out to be pleasant surprises, just to remind us that we must keep on working earnestly and responsibly.

We have to strive to ensure the sustainable development of our region and welfare of future generations, knowing that there is no genuine progress if the benefits are not enjoyed by all of us.
